Welcome & Introductions!
Hi there and welcome to Safe Space Therapies! I’m so excited that you’re here. I’d like to spend a little time introducing myself in a less formal way. Part of the reason for this is to help you get to know me and my practice.
I’ve been in practice since 2013. I started my career working in a community mental health setting as a case manager. I then moved to a major hospital system treating folks diagnosed with PTSD, trauma, and anxiety disorders. During my time there, I trained my peers and graduate school students to use a type of trauma therapy (prolonged exposure therapy). I absolutely loved my experience there and through that, my passion for treating those affected by trauma and anxiety was solidified. I worked in two group private practices before opening my own business.
I now own a boutique-style private practice, Safe Space Therapies. I want this to reflect the diverse needs of the community by providing a welcoming space for adults and teens from all walks of life. I’m a passionate advocate who loves helping people navigate their journey. I can help teach you coping skills to manage & confront anxiety, process trauma, recover from PTSD, navigate being a young professional, and maneuver through all pieces of the journey that is being queer in this day and age.
Each job and each person I met along the way reinforced my desire to be a helper. I’ve walked side by side with hundreds of folks along their healing journey. My clients often say I’m their biggest cheerleader and that, with me, they feel safe dismantling shame. I celebrate all your successes and am honored to be by your side through the hard moments. Therapy is truly my passion.
When you’re choosing a new therapist it’s so important that you feel understood, validated, and believe that your therapist is qualified to treat your unique needs.
